Three schoolgirls, Hikaru Shidou, Umi Ryuuzaki, and Fuu Hououji, are summoned by a princess whose world, Cephiro, is being invaded by the malicious Zagato, an evil priest who commands an army of beasts. Hoping that they are the fabled Magic Knights that can help save her land, the princess places her trust in these three girls who have been thrust into a world beyond their comprehension.
